We buy and set up our real Christmas tree on or around December first every year.

We have a habit of over loading it! This year it is actually better than most.

God rest ye merry gentlemen

Let nothing you dismay!

Remember Christ our Savior

Was born on Christmas day

To save us all

From Satan's power

When we were gone astray

Oh tidings of comfort and joy

Comfort and joy

Oh tidings of comfort and joy

Last year we started the tradition of having

fancy cheese and crackers on Christmas day for the midday meal.

This fall I have been learning how to make sour dough bread.

The above turned out the best: I used white flour for the first time.

This spring I read The Hobbit in three days (nine hours), and I wanted to try it again. I purposed to my little brother that he read it with me. I finished in three days, but he hasn't finished yet!
